CEF Committed to Sustainable and Safe Construction

Our partner, the Fire Testing Center (CEF), took part in the Straw Construction and Renovation Congress, as well as the 14th International Wood Construction Forum.

These are key events for professionals involved in low-carbon construction.
As a laboratory accredited by the Interior Minister, CEF supports stakeholders in timber construction and bio-based materials by offering services such as studies, fire resistance testing, regulatory documentation, and modeling. This expertise is essential to ensure fire safety and compliance with current regulations.

The forum and the congress highlighted the crucial role of forests, wood, and bio-based materials in the fight against climate change.
Participants were invited to engage with CEF experts to discuss innovations in low-carbon construction and advances in fire safety.

Eurailtest aims to expand its service offering in the field of fire testing by combining the expertise of the RATP’s Testing and Measurement Laboratory (LEM) with that of CERIB’s Fire Testing Center.
This synergy allows for the validation of performance in both the railway and non-railway sectors, thereby strengthening fire safety and fostering innovation.
